Prior to establishing Discover Collection, BB was President of the globally renowned management company, Six Senses. BB resigned his position in July 2019, after the company was sold to the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in February of that year.
Prior to his successful 28-year tenure with Six Senses, BB's hotel operations experience included positions with such award-winning hotels as Hotel Baur au Lac Zurich, Beau Rivage Lausanne, The Peninsula Hong Kong and Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Munich amongst others – all noted for their high standard of service and facilities.
A graduate of the prestigious Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL Hospitality Business School), BB served on the EHL International Advisory Board between 2013 and 2026, and, in 2014, was awarded this institution’s annual Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2026, he was appointed Honorary Advisor to H.E. Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman, which follows a previously held role as Honorary Advisor to the President of the Senate of Thailand (the only time a foreigner has ever held that post).
